Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week
November 6, 2017April Opportunities
March 27, 2019The Greater Lafayette Homeward Bound is on tap for April 22 with some exciting additions this year. In addition to the traditional walk, this year we invite runners to participate in a 5K.
The event is co-sponsored by Family Promise, Homestead CS, PATH Outreach Team, and LTHC Homeless Services to bring awareness on the issue of homelessness and housing issues in the Greater Lafayette area.
Homeward Bound will take place at Columbian Park, Memorial Island with entertainment and food throughout the event. It is very family-friendly and all are encouraged to come out and enjoy a beautiful spring day while supporting critical resources in our community.
Registration for the 5K is $25 and includes professional chip timing and t-shirt. The walk is free, however, walkers who donate over $25 will receive a t-shirt. Groups and families are encouraged to create a walking team to help raise funds for the event. For registration in both the run and walk, please visit http://homewardbound.itsyourrace.com/event.aspx?id=10299.
On the day of the event, registration for the 5K begins at 11 and the race will be at noon. The Family Fun Fest area will be open from 12-3 with the walk kicking off at 2.
