We offer housing solutions for Veterans and their families.
Veteran Services Program (VSP) is a program specifically designed to provide housing resources for Veterans and their families. The goal of this program is to help low-income Veteran families achieve housing stability and have access to helpful services.
With LTHC Homeless Services—and thanks to generous funding from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs —homeless or at-risk Veterans can work with a case manager to connect themselves and their families with the right resources for a better life.
Who is eligible for housing for Veterans and their families?
VSP serves Veteran families who live in Benton, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Montgomery, Tippecanoe, and White counties. To qualify, a guest must be a Veteran, or a family member of a Veteran; have low income; and be homeless or at risk of homelessness.
For guests: If you’re not sure whether or not you qualify, contact us anyway! In addition to the VSP program, we offer other housing programs that you may be eligible for. You or a loved one can also call the National Call Center for Homeless Veterans at 1-877-4AID-VET (1-877-424-3838).
How does the VSP process work?
When Veteran guests have their assessment with a case manager, we ask that they bring a photo ID; an original DD-214; proof of income; and proof of residence or lack thereof (including an eviction notice, a shelter referral, or other documentation).
VSP case managers will then help our guests develop a personalized housing plan. Guests and case managers can work with landlords to find an affordable housing solution. Veteran families may also qualify to receive temporary financial assistance for housing stability.
