Celebrate our community’s children the way they deserve with LTHC’s Project Birthday.
Looking for a way to serve your community? What about celebrating a child’s birthday when he or she has never had a proper birthday party before?
This was the idea a Purdue student came up with in 2012, and her great idea has allowed us to celebrate our program's children with LTHC’s Project Birthday ever since!
How does Project Birthday work?
The parties include: birthday decorations, pizza, drinks, and cake for the whole family. And, the birthday boy or girl will receive a special gift and a new pair of pajamas!
Each child (or his/her parent) fills out a form that provides information about the child and his/her interests. This gives us ideas for the perfect birthday gift!
What can I do to help?
Thanks to our volunteers, we can continue to provide a wonderful celebration for kids who are experiencing homelessness. We invite you to join our efforts in gift-giving!
When planning for your own child’s birthday party, you could also consider including an invitation for your guests to make a monetary donation to LTHC’s Project Birthday.
Can I donate items?
Absolutely! We are currently accepting these items for LTHC’s Project Birthday:
Paper plates and napkins
Gift cards for toys and pajamas
Monetary donations
Decorations
Donation Drop-Off for Project Birthday will be scheduled with our Volunteer Coordinator
