There are so many ways to help the homeless guests we serve.
If you’re looking for ways to help the homeless, partner with LTHC Homeless Services! We’ll help you stay informed about homelessness, as well as volunteer and donation opportunities.
We understand homelessness brings about a lot of stereotypes about people, their situations, and their ability to help themselves. That’s why it’s so important for us to share the facts.
We encourage you to learn more about this issue by reading our facts page or inviting us to present at your church or school. Then, you can determine your level of support—volunteering, donating, or educating others.
Other volunteering opportunities include yard work, general maintenance, entering computer data, and more. To apply, just call us or fill out our volunteer form.
Whether you can donate financially or just provide a few items, you’re helping us meet our guests’ basic needs.
Please contact Kaitlyn before making a donation. Due to limited storage and a selective wish list, we may not be able to take what you have. You can call Kaitlyn at 765-423-4880 (ext. 4055), or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Make a Food Basket
Another one of the ways to help the homeless we serve is to make a food basket for LTHC. Some of the items we need most in our food baskets are:
- Baking mixes
- Jiffy mix
- Meal in a box (hamburger/tuna helpers, etc.)
- Meats (chicken, ham, tuna, etc.)
- Peanut butter
- Aluminum foil
- Fruit juice
- Saran wrap
- Spaghetti sauce
- Spices (garlic powder, pepper, salt)
- Sugar spices
