Elizabeth writes, our last ZOOM meeting was successful despite Shook not joining us and we covered the Christmas in July donation drive. A lot of our council members are helping us stock our shelves with household goods for folks moving into housing. We will continue this donation drive until the end of July. One thing to note for 2024 planning, the feedback is that some congregations are already doing a Christmas in July for LUM's Jubilee efforts. It was suggested that next year we change the name and maybe shift it one month earlier or later.
Even as we're heading back into school time, we still have lots of opportunities for help. Right now, our most-difficult-job-to-fill is cleaning both interior and exterior. This is a good opportunity for folks who need a weekend option - just reach out to volunteer to schedule.
