Keep our shelves stocked with our annual supply drives.
In addition to providing financial support, another way to get involved in LTHC’s mission is to keep our shelves stocked with the “stuff” that we most often use.
With two primary need categories—shelter and housing—our annual supply drives help us keep our shelves stocked for our community members that rely on us.
Stock the shelves.
We have divided these on-going needs into two primary categories:
To deliver items from these lists, you can have them shipped directly to LTHC Homeless Services, 815 North 12th Street, Lafayette, IN 47904. That is the same address for in-person deliveries but we ask you to come to Door #4 on 13th Street and ring the doorbell, Monday through Friday from 9am - 4pm.
At LTHC, there are three special drives each year. These are concentrated time frames that we focus on some specific items.
This drive is designed to support those households getting out of homelessness. We are interested in collecting out top 10 items for move-ins. These include:
- Bath sets – towels, bath mat, shower curtain with rings
- Kitchen sets - towels and hot pads
- Dish and cup sets – silverware
- Pots & Pan sets
- Sink sets – dish soap and dish racks
- Kitchen trash cans and bags
- Paper goods – toilet paper, paper towel, paper plates
- Laundry sets – laundry basket, detergent, dryer sheets
- Bedding sets – twin sized sheet sets and/or comforter sets
- Small appliances – coffee makers, toasters, and alarm clocks
During this month, we seek new (and very gently used) versions of these items. This is a great opportunity for your church, family, organization or business to do a drive. Reach out to donate@lthc.net (link) to get help putting this together at your location.
This event typically runs the entire month of July.
During the holiday, LTHC has greater needs for our guests and tenants. We have opportunities for gift giving, drives, food donations – you name it, we can probably use your help with it. We start planning in September so contact info@lthc.net to get on that list to help.
