Senate bill trying to address Veteran’s homelessness
February 16, 2017
Ever wonder what “plarn” is?
March 16, 2017This winter certainly has had its ups and downs with temperature….you know what else has been very up and down this winter? Donations to LTHC Homeless Services.
As the new Development Director, I started in November and was pleasantly surprised with the steady volume of donations that I had to process. Of course, I knew it “was the season” and people were sharing their good will with us. What has been an unpleasant surprise, however, is how quickly those donations have dropped off with the start of the new year.
Three months ago, LTHC’s nine Case Managers shared a caseload of 423 client — and that number has only grown. Three months ago, LTHC served the approximately 40 people that slept unsheltered every night — and we still are. Three months ago, LTHC served about 120 meals each day — and we still are. Three months ago, LTHC needed the community’s help to end homelessness in our community — and we still do.
Please consider becoming a monthly giver to LTHC to help us have consistent financial donors to help us meet our mission. You can do this easily on our website or just send checks each month. If you are someone who supports us with donations of items, please consider making a financial contribution as well. Truly, every little bit helps because they all add up to help our agency meet the needs of our community’s homeless population and helps us get them housed.
A monthly gift of only $25 will qualify a donor for for a Bronze membership in our Home For Keeps Club and a monthly gift of $170 will qualify a donor at the Platinum level — and there are levels in between that will fit your budget.
Thank you for your consideration in helping us!
