New weekly blogs are coming
November 21, 2016New name, new logo, same mission….ending homelessness in Tippecanoe County
December 7, 2016Welcome to the inaugural blog from Lafayette Transitional Housing Center! We are hoping to use this as a weekly resource to show you what is working and what is needed in the fight to end homelessness in Tippecanoe County.
Right now, there are two main issues on our minds! First, it is finally winter weather outside. While I can’t complain about the mild fall we have enjoyed, I am worried about the cold and snow that they are predicting. For folks who are living outside, the elements are particularly harsh this time of year. LTHC has recently been blessed with several donations of blankets, socks, and coats to help our clients stay warm. Please continue to think of us when you see these items on sale this shopping season.
The second thing on our mind is, of course, that it is end of year giving time. We are a non-profit after all. Lafayette Transitional Housing relies on many generous donors to help fill the gaps in our budget. Your unrestricted gifts really go a long way in helping our staff do amazing things for homeless clients. All donations are tax deductible.
Lafayette Transitional Housing is hoping to springboard our donors club with this year’s giving. For all gifts over $260, supporters will become members of the Home For Keeps Club. The Club has four different giving levels and demonstrates a commitment from donors to support our mission. Donors can enter the Home For Keeps Club with a one-time donation or through monthly installments.
At this time of year, as always, LTHC is so appreciative of the support that this community gives us so that we can positively impact homelessness. We could not do this without you!
Happy Holidays
